The Great Los Angeles Burger Adventure - Fred 62

Juicy Lucy Burger
We hit up this Silver Lake joint late (for us!) on a Sunday...and it was jamming!  Their claim to fame in burgerworld is the Juicy Lucy Burger.  Self described a
s "The world's greatest hamburger steak sandwich," it comes with iceberg lettuce, sliced red onion, tomato, melted cheddar and 1000 island dressing.  Now granted, I hadn't eaten for several hours, was starving and had three hurricanes at a prior event, but this was fine, fine burger!!  The bun was soft and flavorful, veggies fresh, cheese and dressing perfect.  The meat, o the wonderful meat!!!  It is served medium rare and was juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection.  Did I mention juicy?
Good, cause the Juicy Lucy lives up to its name.  It was also well put together which made it easy to enjoy all the flavors in each bite.  The potato crisp sticking out of the bun was a great treat as well.  The rest of the meal was rounded out with O-rings, potato salad and a banana chocolate shake.  Each of these was very good as well.  Surprisingly, the potato salad was a real standout.  Great flavor, texture and taste!!  This was a great meal from beginning to end.
Well, we're just getting warmed up with the burger adventure and all ready I'm really impressed.  Good job, LA!! And on to the next burger...
